Two Pearls of Wisdom by Alison Goodman (review by Stanley Z. '16)

The Two Pearls Of Wisdom (Eon #1)The Two Pearls Of Wisdom by Alison Goodman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Two Pearls of Wisdom by Alison Goodman is about a physically disabled girl named Eona who aspires to be to serve as an apprentice for the Dragoneye who links humans to their respective guardian dragons. Eona is disguised as a boy because females are not allowed to hold such position. Eona, posing as Eon, is on bad terms with Lord Ido, a warlord with a lot of influence and power. Despite her disabilities, Eona holds an important gift: the power to communicate with all twelve dragons. Meanwhile, a great civil war erupts and the people are forced to choose sides. With each chapter, the story becomes more complex and more danger arises. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy. Two Pearls of Wisdom is fast-paced and filled with tension and action. – Stanley Z. ‘16
